Amid conflict with Centre, Twitter appoints US employee Jeremy Kessel as India's Grievance Officer
- The social networking website Twitter has appointed the company's global legal policy director and US citizen Jeremy Kessel as complaints officer in India.
- Twitter has made this appointment considering the new digital media laws of the Centre.
- Kessel will succeed Dharmendra Chatur who has resigned from the post.
- However, according to the new digital rules, only an Indian citizen has to be appointed to this post.
- The appointment comes a day after Dharmendra Chatur, interim Grievance Redressal Officer of Twitter in India, appointed less than a month ago, resigned amid the company's bitter feud with the govt.
