
UP Panchayat Elections: SP candidate's form canceled after a minister of Yogi govt arrived in Varanasi
- Elections for the District Panchayat President are currently going on in UP. BJP has been accused of grabbing power through hooliganism in many districts of the state.
- The nomination paper of SP candidate Chanda Yadav in Varanasi was rejected on Sunday. Following this announcement, SP supporters created a ruckus.
- The SP candidate alleged that the Yogi govt's cabinet minister Anil Rajbhar was present there at the time of scrutiny, only after which the officials canceled the nomination.
- Both the candidates filed two nominations each, BJP's Poonam Maurya's one nomination paper was rejected, the other was accepted while SP's both were rejected.
- SP supporters were enraged by this and decided to go to court. District President Sujit Yajav talked about making DM Varanasi a party.
