Will not contest elections, J&K's situation is bad, not what they are projecting to the world: Mehbooba Mufti
- Mehbooba Mufti's remarks came a day after PM Modi interacted with top political leaders of Jammu and Kashmir at his Delhi residence.
- Mehbooba Mufti was asked why she was invited to the PM's meeting when she was accused of having terrorist sympathies.
- She replied, "You are asking this to the wrong person. Only the Prime Minister or the Home Minister will be able to answer this."
- Mehbooba said, "A lot of atrocities are happening in J&K. People can't even breathe. The ground situation is not as they are projecting to the world."
- She added, "People are unhappy and feeling suffocated. The Central govt has realized that things have not gone according to their plan, and perhaps because of a little sympathy that they had left, they decided to meet us."
