- Chirag expressed happiness about this and said that when one uncle (Pashupati) went, the other uncle (Shatrughan) got more support.
- Chirag said, "All of them are our elders, they are our parents, it is in our culture to respect elders."
- He said, "In this respect, I have respect for Nitish Kumar too. It is in our culture that you call someone uncle, give respect."
- Commenting on the ongoing discord in the party, Chirag said, 'He (Uncle Pashupati) was close to my father so it is a betrayal of him."
