Farooq Abdullah edges out Mehbooba's statement, says, 'we will talk about the country, not Pakistan'

  • Senior National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah reached Delhi to attend an all-party meeting on Jammu and Kashmir.
  • Talking to the media in Delhi on Thursday, Farooq shrugged off Mehbooba Mufti's statement and said, "we do not have to talk about Pakistan but about our country."
  • He said that Mehbooba Mufti's statement on Pakistan is personal. It has nothing to do with them.
  • Farooq Abdullah welcomed the meeting. Significantly, the leaders of J&K are reaching Delhi to attend the all-party meeting going to be held at the PM's residence.
  • Abdullah said, "It was like coming late, but coming right. We would hope that the PM and the HM would listen to us calmly and find a solution, which would bring peace and harmony to the state."
