
Delhi riots: Asif, who faced UAPA claims, 'I am a Muslim, that's why I am called rioter-jihadi-anti-national'
- Asif Iqbal Tanha, arrested under the UAPA Act in the Delhi riots case, was granted bail by the Delhi High Court last week.
- In a TV program, Asif said that he hails from Jharkhand, was paying for his studies himself, he has been punished for being a Muslim.
- Asif is a graduate student from Jamia Millia Islamia. He said, "I am a Muslim, that's why I was called rioter-jihadi and anti-national."
- According to the police, it is alleged that they along with others conspired to create such disturbance to disturb the law and order situation.
- Significantly, the other accused in this case, Natasha Narwal and Devangana Kalita have also got bail.
