Coronavirus getting out of control, the scope of restrictions growing, 'Tika Utsav' kickstarts

  • Amidst the growing outbreak of coronavirus in the country, the scope of restrictions is also being extended. On Saturday, more than 1 lakh 45 thousand COVID 19 cases were reported in the country.
  • To deal with this, the central and state govts have started imposing new restrictions. The Tika Utsav will be celebrated in the entire country from today.
  • The purpose of this 'Teeka Utsav', which runs from 11 April to 14 April, is to get more and more people vaccinated. According to the Union Health Ministry, India has put 100 million vaccines in 85 days.
  • Now, India has become the world's fastest-running vaccination campaign. At the same time, Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray will hold an important meeting regarding the lockdown today.
  • Not only Maharashtra, but all types of social, political, sports, entertainment, cultural and religious gatherings have been banned in Delhi.
