Phase 2 Voting: 57.89% in Assam and 60.97% in West Bengal till 3:10 pm
Polling for the second phase of assembly elections in Assam and West Bengal began at 7 am as per the scheduled time.
According to the Election Commission, in the second phase of the assembly elections till 3:10 pm, there was 57.89% turnout in Assam and 60.97% turnout in West Bengal.
During this time, sporadic incidents of violence have also come to light in some places.
In Assam, the fate of the candidates will be decided on 39 seats. In the second phase in West Bengal, voters will register their choice in EVM on 30 seats.
In today's phase, all eyes are on the high-profile Nandigram seat, where CM Mamata Banerjee is in the fray against her former aide and BJP candidate Shubhendu Adhikari.
