Not all banks will be privatized, says, Nirmala Sitharaman on Bank strike day 2
At the time when the bank employees are on a 2 day nationwide strike against the privatization of banks, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has given a statement.
Sitharaman stated that not all banks in the country will be privatized. The interests of all the employees of the banks which will be privatized will be protected.
She added that the govt had announced the privatization of two state-owned banks in the budget, but their names have not been announced yet.
The FM said that the govt wants bank to meet the aspirations of the country and the banks that are to be privatized will continue to operate as before.
Letting you know, millions of bankers are holding two-day nationwide strike against the privatization of PSBs due to which major services of banks are affected.
