
Tamil Nadu: O Panneerselvam assets almost double since 2016 assembly elections
- The 16th legislative assembly election is to be held on 6 April 2021 to elect members from 234 constituencies of the Legislative Assembly Tamil Nadu.
- According to the election affidavit submitted as a part of nomination for the assembly polls, in 2016, Tamil Nadu's Dy CM, O Panneerselvam's total assets valued at Rs 33.20 lakh.
- But according to its 2021 report, Panneerselvam has declared total assets valued at ₹ 61.19 lakh which is almost double from 2016.
- Paneerselvam said that he had only movable assets and there were no immovable assets in his name.
- The assets included three 4-wheelers to which he clarified that they were bought from the salary he earned as deputy CM and from his wife's agricultural income.
