Tamil Nadu Assembly polls: Actor Vijayakanth's DMDK quits AIADMK-BJP alliance

Ahead of the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, actor Vijayakanth's DMDK has walked out of the AIADMK-BJP alliance.
This will be a major setback for BJP. The DMDK claimed that the AIADMK refused to give asked number of seats to it.
Letting you know, the TN assembly polls will be held in a single phase on April 6.
After the death of leader J Jayalalithaa, this is the first election for the ruling AIADMK in the state.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the AIADMK-BJP alliance had lost 38 out of 39 seats in the state.
