Maharashtra: Amid COVID 19 surge, Thane to go under complete lockdown from March 13

  • Maharashtra has been witnessing a surge in COVID 19 cases in the past few days, which has become a matter of concern.
  • According to the officials, the order has been issued by the Thane  Municipal Commissioner, Vipin Sharma for the lockdown in Thane city.
  • The lockdown will be done between March 13 and 31 in 11 hotspots in the city due to the rise in COVID 19 cases in these areas.
  • According to the issued order, the restrictions placed during the nationwide lockdown would be implemented this time as well.
  • Letting you know, on Monday, the Thane district recorded over 2,69,834 COVID 19 cases, including 6,302 deaths.
