MCD Bypolls: With Congress indicating revival, BJP faces major setback with no seat, AAP grabs 4
In the Delhi MCD bypolls which was held on Sunday, over 50.86% of voters turned out to vote.
The results have been declared today, with BJP facing a major setback by failing to win even a single seat.
The Congress, which won 1 seat indicated the party’s revival in the city after it drew blank in the last assembly and Lok Sabha polls in Delhi.
Now, the AAP which was confident of a clean sweep, fall short of expectations as it won 4 out of the 5 seats.
Letting you know, the MCD has been a BJP-ruled body for nearly a decade. Out of the 13 wards, seven were previously held by BJP, one by RLD, and five by the Independents.
