SP legislators seek 5 % quota for Muslim education, non-implementation of CAA, NRC from MVA govt
Samajwadi Party legislators Abu Asim Azmi and Rais Shaikh asked for a resolution to be passed in the Maharashtra assembly.
Putting pressure on the ruling MVA govt, they have asked the MVA govt to ensure a 5 % reservation for Muslims in education.
Azmi and Shaikh also asked for an assurance from the MVA govt that the CAA and the NRC will not be implemented in the state.
Shaikh said that even after the 18 months of coming to power, the MVA govt doesn't talk about or draft policies that would benefit the minority community.
He added that the state govt should pass a resolution in the Assembly about the non-implementation of the NRC and Muslim reservation in the state.
