Setback for BJP ahead of elections, Bodoland People's Front switches to Congress

  • The Bodoland People's Front coalition in Assam has left the NDA on Saturday and joined the Congress.
  • BPF President Hagrama Mohilary said, "We cannot either play friendship or continue alliance with the BJP."
  • Mohilary said that he has joined hands with the Grand Alliance to free Assam from corruption, peace, unity, and development in the state.
  • Earlier, RJD has also joined the Grand Alliance in Assam, which strengthened its position against the BJP in the Assam Assembly elections.
  • Letting you know, earlier also, Assam Finance Minister Hemant Biswa Sarma has said that the BPF will not be a part of the NDA in the elections.
