Congress leader Randeep Singh Surjewala said that politics should have dharma but dharma should not be politicized.
Surjewala said, "I would refrain from making any political comment just 24 hours before the Ram temple event."
"But, I must say 'Rajniti ka dharma hona chahiye, dharma ki rajniti nahi, yahi Ram ki maryada hai," he added.
AICC General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also issued a statement on Ram temple and said, "In the world and Indian subcontinent's culture, Ramayan holds special importance."
"Ramayan teaches us dharma, morality, devotion to duty, liberalism, and service," she added.
