Rajnath Singh Inaugurates Strategically Crucial Road in Uttarakhand
- Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has open an 80-km strategically crucial road which connects the Lipulekh pass at a height of 17,000 feet along the border with China in Uttarakhand.
- He said that the pilgrims going to Kailash Mansarovar will now be able to complete their journey in one week.
- The new road will help pilgrims who will visit Kailash Mansarovar in Tibet as it is around 90 km from the Lipulekh pass.
- Rajnath Singh also expressed his confidence that the local trade and economic growth in the region will increase with this new road.
- The road will also help the speedy movement of military troops in the strategically key region bordering Tibet.
