Yogi announces 5 lakh fine and 7 years imprisonment for those who attack the Corona warriors
- The Uttar Pradesh government has made the first amendment to the Epidemic Covid-19 Regulations to take strict action against those who violate the lockdown and attack the Corona warriors.
- Under this, there is a levy of a fine of five lakh rupees and a punishment of seven years for those who attack corona warriors, including medical and para medical staff, sanitation workers and policemen
- The amendment is to come into force with immediate effect
- Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath applauded both the leadership of the PM and the the public service undertaken by the corona warrior
- He further added, “at such a time, the attack on the Corona Warriors is a challenge to the system. This cannot be tolerated under any circumstances”.
