TMC blames Central team for spreading political virus
- Attacking the two inter-ministerial central teams (IMCT) the ruling Trinamool Congress termed it as "India's Most Callous Team."
- The central teams have been visiting hospitals and quarantine centres and meeting officials in Kolkata and Siliguri to access the COVID-19 situation.
- The members of TMC stated that IMCT has sought to spread the political virus "shamelessly".
- Whereas, senior bureaucrat Apurba Chandra who is leading the team wrote a letter to chief secretary Rajiva Sinha regarding state's non-cooperation over providing logistical support and other relevant information.
- However, the central team praised the government's efforts in maintaining strict enforcement of lockdown in the Salkia (Howrah) containment zone.
