Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan requested all the states to ensure that the lockdown measures are fully followed.
He said, "I request health ministers of all states to ensure that lockdown is followed 100% in your respective states."
"If we lag behind in this, it will be difficult for us to win this fight against Covid-19," he added.
He also said that since COVID-19 led to a decrease in blood donation the govt has decided to promote blood donation.
With 547 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 12 hours, India's total number reached to 6412 on Friday.
