The opposition criticized PM Modi's brief video address to the nation and asked him to focus on helping the poor during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Congress leader Shashi Tharoor said PM's speech had nothing about how to ease people’s pain, their burdens, their financial anxieties."
Criticizing PM Modi's speech TMC leader Mahua Moitra said, "Give India fiscal package worth 8%-10% of GDP."
"Ensure immediate wages to construction & other labor during the lockdown, laws exist permitting this," she further added.
While Chidambaram asked PM Modi to listen to the wise counsel of epidemiologists and economists.
