UP govt-issued orders for the immediate release of the salary of staff operating 102 and 108 ambulance services.
The ambulance staff in Lucknow, Unnao, Jhansi, Pratapgarh, Ayodhya and other districts had been staging protests.
The protests have been staged to draw the attention of govt to non-payment of their salaries for the last 3 months and lack of coronavirus protection gear.
"The CM has issued specific instructions to release the salary of staff operating 102 and 108 services in state", said principal secretary health and family welfare Amit Mohan Prasad.
Though the ambulance services are operated by GVK EMRI, the workers raised their voices under the aegis of UP ambulance worker's association.
