COVID 19: UP Govt Issues Order For the Release Of Salaries Of Ambulance Services
- UP govt-issued orders for the immediate release of the salary of staff operating 102 and 108 ambulance services.
- The ambulance staff in Lucknow, Unnao, Jhansi, Pratapgarh, Ayodhya and other districts had been staging protests.
- The protests have been staged to draw the attention of govt to non-payment of their salaries for the last 3 months and lack of coronavirus protection gear.
- "The CM has issued specific instructions to release the salary of staff operating 102 and 108 services in state", said principal secretary health and family welfare Amit Mohan Prasad.
- Though the ambulance services are operated by GVK EMRI, the workers raised their voices under the aegis of UP ambulance worker's association.
