Coronavirus: FIR Filed Against Tablighi Jamaat Maulana For Violating Govt Orders
- A case has been registered against the maulana who let the Tablighi Jammat congregation in Nizammudding and violated the govt orders.
- Maulana Saad and other members of the Tablighi Jamaat have been booked under the Epidemic Disease Act, 1897 and relevant sections of the IPC for violating the govt directions.
- The FIR was filed by Delhi Police Crime Branch under Sec 3 of the Epidemic Disease Act 1897 and Sections 269, 270, 271 and 120b of the IPC.
- Earlier Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said that 441 people taken out of the Nizamuddin mosque have shown symptoms linked to COVID-19.
- 24 people present at the Markaz building at Nizamuddin have been tested positive for coronavirus.
