Coronavirus Outbreak: Maharashtra Announces Rs45 Cr To Serve Migrant Workers
- Maharashtra govt announced a package of Rs 45 crore for the provision of accommodation and food for migrant workers.
- The decision was taken at a meeting of the State Disaster Management Committee under Chief Secretary Ajoy Mehta.
- Out of these funds, Konkan and Pune regions will get Rs 15 crore and Rs 10 crore respectively.
- The remaining regions, Nashik, Aurangabad, Amravati, and Nagpur will get Rs 5 crore each.
- Let us tell you, the Nashik Police have arrested four truck drivers for illegally transporting around 300 migrant workers from Mumbai and Kalyan.
