Maharashtra govt announced a package of Rs 45 crore for the provision of accommodation and food for migrant workers.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the State Disaster Management Committee under Chief Secretary Ajoy Mehta.
Out of these funds, Konkan and Pune regions will get Rs 15 crore and Rs 10 crore respectively.
The remaining regions, Nashik, Aurangabad, Amravati, and Nagpur will get Rs 5 crore each.
Let us tell you, the Nashik Police have arrested four truck drivers for illegally transporting around 300 migrant workers from Mumbai and Kalyan.
