Coronavirus: FM Says Don't Want Anyone to Remain Hungry, Announces Rs 1.7 Lakh Crore Fund
- FM Nirmala Sitharaman announced a full economic package to deal with the impact of COVID-19.
- Addressing a press conference she said govt has come out with a package that will help the disadvantaged section of the society.
- Sitharaman said, "We don’t want anyone to remain hungry or without money. So we will be giving enough."
- She announced Rs 1,70,000 Crore relief package for urban and rural poor.
- For doctors, nurses and ASHA workers the FM announced that they will be given an insurance cover of Rs 50 lakh per person.
