
SC Stays Order on Bail Granted to Members of PFI
- Supreme Court had put a stay on bail granted to 21 members of Popular Front of India (PFI) accused in connection with violence erupted during Anti-CAA Protest in Mangaluru.
- On Bail Petition filed by Mohd.Ashik, Karnataka High Court has granted bail on February 17 to the accused of violence.
- Taking cognizance on Karnataka Government's plea against the decision of HC, Bench Constituting CJI SA Bobde issued notice to the accused.
- Solicitor General Tushar Mehta mauled the HC's order asserting that at least 56 policemen sustained injuries during these violent protests.
