Justice Murlidhar Gets Transferred a Day After he Admonishes Delhi Police Over Violence
- Following the recommendation of SC, President Kovind has transferred Justice S Muralidhar to Punjab and Haryana High Court.
- A notification issued by the law ministry announced that President has taken this decision after consulting with CJI.
- This decision comes after Justice Muralidhar slammed the Delhi police over their failure to control the Delhi violence.
- Justice Muralidhar during the hearing said that when the police can register 11 FIRs for violence then why didn't it registered FIR against 3 BJP leaders who gave hate speech.
- Referring to the 1984 riots he said, "This city has seen enough violence and anguish. Let it not repeat 1984."
