Justice Murlidhar Gets Transferred a Day After he Admonishes Delhi Police Over Violence

Following the recommendation of SC, President Kovind has transferred Justice S Muralidhar to Punjab and Haryana High Court.
A notification issued by the law ministry announced that President has taken this decision after consulting with CJI.
This decision comes after Justice Muralidhar slammed the Delhi police over their failure to control the Delhi violence.
Justice Muralidhar during the hearing said that when the police can register 11 FIRs for violence then why didn't it registered FIR against 3 BJP leaders who gave hate speech.
Referring to the 1984 riots he said, "This city has seen enough violence and anguish. Let it not repeat 1984."
