Sunni Waqf Board Accepts 5-Acre Land Given by Yogi Govt
- The Sunni Waqf Board accepted the 5 acre land it was offered to construct a mosque after SC's judgement.
- They will also construct a hospital, a public library and an Indo-Islamic cultural center at the site.
- A senior member of the board said that first, they decided on whether to accept the land or not and later they decided on what should be constructed on that land.
- Last year in November the SC in a landmark judgment granted the ownership of the disputed land to Ram Lalla.
- Afterwhich they also ordered the state govt to allot a 5-acre land at a “prominent place” in Ayodhya to Sunni Waqf Board for construction of the mosque.
