'Bharat Mata ki Jai' is being Misused: Former PM Manmohan Singh
- Former PM Manmohan Singh said nationalism and slogan of 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' are being misused.
- He said these terms are being misused to build a 'militant and purely emotional' idea of India which excluded millions of residents and citizens.
- He also said that if India is recognized as one of the world powers then its credit goes to our first PM Jawahar Lal Nehru.
- Targetting BJPhe said a section of people who either do not have the patience to read history or would like to be deliberately guided by their prejudices, try their best to picture Nehru in a false light.
- The former PM made these remarks 'at the book launch of Purushottam Agrawal and Radha Krishna's book Who is Bharat Mata.'
