SC to Hear Petitions of Central and State Govt Demanding Black Warrant for Nirbhaya Convicts
- On Friday, the SC will take up petitions filed by the central and Delhi govt who want a black warrant issued to execute the four Nirbhaya convicts.
- Additional Solicitor General KM Natraj mentioned the appeals for an early hearing before a bench led by Justice NV Ramana on Thursday who ordered that the case be listed today.
- Both central and state govt is appealing against the verdict of the Delhi HC that turned down a request to hang at least 2 of the 4 convicts.
- Till now 3 out of 4 convicts have exhausted all the legal remedies.
- While the fourth one Pawan is yet to file a curative plea and seek mercy from the President.
