Implement Death Verdict for Nirbhaya Convicts: Rajya Sabha
- Rajya Sabha chairman M Venkaiah Naidu extended his support to the AAP lawmaker Sanjay Singh’s call for early execution of the Nirbhaya convicts.
- Naidu said, "We cannot allow this sort of thing to go on in the country."
- He also said that the convicts have been given all the available legal opportunities and they have exhausted all of them.
- He further added that the convicts are now delaying the execution decided by the courts on one excuse or the other.
- Earlier Sanjay Singh said that the case has only been getting deferred from one date to another, they have no right to be alive.
