Deputy SP Ramaswamy Parthasarathy arrested Chidambaram along with his son Karti Chidambaram in the INX Media case.
CBI director Dhirendra Shankar Shukla, who investigated the case involving Gurmeet Ram Rahim's followers, has also received a medal.
Binay Kumar, Manoj Verma, Nirbhay Kumar, Ravi Narayan, Nand Kishore were also honored with President's Medal for their distinguished service.
J&K Police has got the highest 108 Bravery Medals, including 105 Police Bravery Medals and 3 Presidential Medals.
