
5 Union ministers to begin Kashmir visits from today as part of Centre’s outreach drive
- Only five out of 36 Union ministers will be visiting Kashmir from Tuesday as part of the Centre’s outreach programme.
- This is the first time Union ministers are visiting the region since the August 5 decision to amend Article 370 of the Constitution.
- For the next four days, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, Shripad Naik, G Kishan Reddy will attend eight programmes.
- The ministers are expected to educate locals about the development measures and schemes undertaken by the government for the region.
- None of the ministers will be visiting 7 districts - Kupwara, Bandipore, Budgam, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian and Kulgam of the valley.
