Why Haven't the Non-BJP States Witnessed Violence: Amit Shah to Opposition

On Thursday, Union Home minister Amit Shah said that protests against CAA were politically driven.
He said, “I am making this allegation publicly that the protests were politically motivated, which explains the fact that no violence took place in non-BJP states."
He further said, "It explains the intent behind the protests. Opposition parties, mainly Congress, should explain as to why protests were violent only in the BJP-ruled states.”

Justifying the police actions against the protestors Amit Shah said, "Police can’t sit idle if buses are being burnt and arson is taking place."
Amit Shah once again reinstated that CAA is about giving citizenship and not about taking away anyone.
