Govt Restores Internet Service in Kargil after 145 Days

Mobile internet has been restored in Kargil and parts of Ladakh after 145 days of restrictions.
The mobile internet services were restored after 4 months since the govt revoked Article 370 of J&K which gave it a special status.
While abrogating article 370 govt said that this move would ensure that people of J&K and Ladakh get the same constitutional benefits as the rest of the country.

The govt also imposed security restrictions in the state which included the suspension of internet and phone services, arresting politicians, etc.
However, these security restrictions have left the people of the valley and the rest of the country frustrated.
