My Name is Not Rahul Savarkar: Rahul Gandhi Refuses to Apologize
- Congress leader Rahul Gandhi launched a scathing attack on the BJP and PM Modi and said, he will never apologize for his rape comment.
- He said, “BJP asked me to apologize for telling the truth. I am not Rahul Savarkar. I am Rahul Gandhi. I will not apologize. Nor will anyone from the Congress.”
- Instead, he said that PM should apologize to the people for destroying the country.

- Earlier during a rally, Rahul Gandhi said, “PM Modi used to say Make in India but nowadays wherever you look, it is Rape in India."
- After this, Union minister Smriti Irani led a delegation of women parliamentarians to complain and seek “severest possible action” against Gandhi.
