The Central Government has released Rs 2977.31 crore worth grants in favor of J&K.
Rs 1275.99 crore for Ladakh to give a fillip to the development projects and other ongoing works besides meeting regular expenditure.
This was the first installment of Central funds released by the Government of India for Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
It Becomes the Union Territories on October 31 after bifurcation of the erstwhile State of J&K.
The Central Government has taken all aspects into account before the release of the funds.
