Kerala BJP Slams Pinarayi Vijayan's Stand on Citizenship Act

BJP state gen-sec K Surendran termed CM Pinarayi Vijayan's statement on Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) as “illegal and violation of the Constitution”.
He demanded that the CM should apologize to the people for his remark.
Surendran said, “It is a violation of oath of office. There is only one rule in the country. It is the central govt that grants citizenship."
He further said, "The stand of the CM is favoring those who want to create riots in the country and those who want to destroy the country."
Earlier CM Pinarayi Vijayan said that his government would not implement the CAA in the state.
