Uddhav Thackeray To Decide on Mumbai-Pune Hyperloop Project
- Virgin Atlantic founder and British billionaire Richard Branson met Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray to clear “misunderstandings” over the $10 billion Mumbai-Pune hyperloop project.
- Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray told Richard Branson that he would study the Mumbai-Pune ultrafast Hyperloop transport project and take further decisions.
- The meeting between the two took place at "Matoshree' the Thackeray family residence in suburban Bandra.

- According to senior officials, Richard Branson sought the chief minister's co-operation for the project.
- At an event, Richard Branson informed the entire cost of the project will be borne by the private sector and it will not depend on any funding from the state.
