NCP to contest ZP polls in any format
- The lone NCP MLA in Goa Churchill Alemao has announced that his party would contest the Zilla Parishad elections on party lines.
- He made the announcement as he celebrated the birthday of his leader Sharad Pawar as he turned 79 on Thursday.
- Praising Pawar that he is the leader of the masses and the people are with him, he said that Pawar was a great leader of Congress.
- But when he was denied the opportunity to go ahead in the party he created NCP.
- He said that nearly elected 11 MLAs are with me. People are of my happiness. I keep working for the people day and night.
