TRS Votes Against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill

On Wednesday, the TRS voted against the CAB that gives Indian citizenship to persecuted minorities from neighboring countries but excludes minority Muslim sects.
The TRS party leadership had issued a whip to its RS members to vote against the bill.
TRS is of the view that the bill goes against the interests of Muslim communities.

Let us tell you that on Wednesday the bill was passed in the Rajya Sabha with 125 votes in support and 99 votes against.
