
TRS Votes Against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill
- On Wednesday, the TRS voted against the CAB that gives Indian citizenship to persecuted minorities from neighboring countries but excludes minority Muslim sects.
- The TRS party leadership had issued a whip to its RS members to vote against the bill.
- TRS is of the view that the bill goes against the interests of Muslim communities.
