We Support CAB in the Interest of Nation: Shiv Sena

  • Shiv Sena led by Uddhav Thackeray has supported the government in passing the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill in the Lok Sabha.
     
  • Shiv Sena MP Arvind Sawant said, "We supported the bill in the interest of the nation. The CMP is applicable in Maharashtra only." 
     
  • Let us tell you that the CAB was cleared by the Lok Sabha late at night on Monday after nearly 12 hours of discussion.

  • The bill was cleared with 311 votes in support and 80 votes in against.
     
  • While discussing the bill Home Minister Amit Shah said, the proposed law was not even "0.001% against India's minorities".
