Kalia scheme to converge with PM-Kisan scheme
- The Naveen Patnaik government in Odisha has decided to merge its farmer assistance project KALIA(Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation) with PM-Kisan scheme.
- Step are taken to minimize the impact on the state’s fiscal health.
- After giving the first installments from the government contingency fund they is running out of money and smartly decided to converge it with the central scheme.
- Even the opposition parties claim that the scheme was only meant to win the Assembly polls.
- Over which Patnaik said, "Earlier they supported BJP by compromising politics but now they are also accepting their schemes”.
