
Cong opposes govt's PPP proposal for South Goa hospital
- Congress on Friday opposed the government's plan to set up a medical college in South Goa district hospital.
- Health Minister Vishwajit Rane justified the decision stating that the project has been planned as per NITI Aayog guidelines.
- Goa Pradesh Congress Committee President Girish Chodankar launched a scathing attack on Rane for his efforts to privatize the public services in the State.
- Chodankar demanded a white paper on government's policy decision to privatize the public services like health care.
- The Congress leader further stated that if the government is really interested, then the college can be run through a State-run corporation.
