Polling on 15 Seats of Karnataka Assembly Begins

  • Voting for 15 seats for Karnataka bypolls began today.
     
  • The polling began at 7 am and is scheduled to end at 6 pm, and results of which will be declared on December 9.
     
  • These elections are very important for BJP as they need to win at least six seats to retain its majority in the 225-member assembly.

  • CM Yediyurappa claimed that BJP will win al the seats and said, "There is a desire for a stable government under my leadership in the state and we will deliver the same."
     
  • While former CM and Congress leader Siddaramaiah advised voters, "Don’t waste votes on JD(S) as they won’t win. If you want to defeat the BJP, vote for Congress.”
