During the Anjuna gram sabha held on Sunday, which concluded half-way after the villagers demanded a resolution to be passed stopping issuance of permissions for mega projects until the infrastructure is upgraded.
The panchayat to stop issuance of permission for all mega projects till electricity sub-station is set up as the villagers are facing problem of frequent power cuts and irregular supply of water.
The panchayat should stop issuing new permissions.

Sarpanch Savio Almeida informed the gram sabha members that the electricity officials have informed him that work on sub-station will soon begin.
The villagers continued to explain to the sarpanch how new permission has been adding burden on the existing infrastructure.
