On Wednesday, Home Minister Amit Shah announced that Assam like NRC will be carried out across the country.
Along with this announcement, Amit Shah also assured that "no one from any religion should be worried".
While addressing the Rajya Sabha Amit Shah said the NRC is "just a process to get everyone under the citizen's list."

Earlier in August this year, the govt released the list of NRC in Assam in which names of over 19 Lakh people were left out.
Amit Shah said that people whose names are missing from the NRC can approach the tribunals and Assam govt for help
