
State govt. to handle the Maoists activity in North Kerala: CM
- Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan criticized the opposition for glorifying maoists and said, “They are not merely people who go around tribal settlements asking for rice and provisions.”
- Pinarayi Vijayan informed that state govt. Is trying to bring back the Maoists through rehabilitation along with maintaining the law and order in the state.
- 178 Thunderbolt commandos and 223 Kerala Anti-Terrorist Squad members were recruited to conduct the anti-naxal operation.
- To be informed, armed maoists are expanding their reach in the North Kerala.
- Earlier, Opposition Leader Ramesh Chennithala slammed the LDF Govt. by terming the encounters as staged ‘extra-judicial killings’.
