State govt. to handle the Maoists activity in North Kerala: CM

Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan criticized the opposition for glorifying maoists and said, “They are not merely people who go around tribal settlements asking for rice and provisions.”
Pinarayi Vijayan informed that state govt. Is trying to bring back the Maoists through rehabilitation along with maintaining the law and order in the state.
178 Thunderbolt commandos and 223 Kerala Anti-Terrorist Squad members were recruited to conduct the anti-naxal operation.

To be informed, armed maoists are expanding their reach in the North Kerala.
Earlier, Opposition Leader Ramesh Chennithala slammed the LDF Govt. by terming the encounters as staged ‘extra-judicial killings’.
