The Chief Patron and TMC leader Resigns Over Inviting the Governor to the Event

The leader of the TMC and the chief patron of a club at Barasat in 24 Parganas resigned from his post after inviting Governor Jagdeep Dhankar for the inauguration of Kali Puja.
Barasat Municipality President Sunil Mukherjee resigned when he came to know that the officials invited Governor Jandeep Dhankhar.
Mukherjee said, "As the chief patron of the club, I should have been told about this."

He further added, "I have a strong objection to this because I think the governor is biased against our state government.
The club's senior official said that according to the rules of the club, it is not necessary to inform the chief patron about the guest list.
