The Chief Patron and TMC leader Resigns Over Inviting the Governor to the Event

  • The leader of the TMC and the chief patron of a club at Barasat in 24 Parganas resigned from his post after inviting Governor Jagdeep Dhankar for the inauguration of Kali Puja.
     
  • Barasat Municipality President Sunil Mukherjee resigned when he came to know that the officials invited Governor Jandeep Dhankhar.
     
  • Mukherjee said, "As the chief patron of the club, I should have been told about this."

  • He further added, "I have a strong objection to this because I think the governor is biased against our state government.
     
  •  The club's senior official said that according to the rules of the club, it is not necessary to inform the chief patron about the guest list.
