Delhi CM Announces 'Mukhyamantri Street Light Yojana', 2.1 Street Lights to Get Installed

  • On Monday, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said that his govt will implement the 'Mukhyamantri Street Light Yojana' under which 2.1 lakh streetlight will be installed in Delhi.
     
  • He gave this responsibility of installing street lights to three discoms who will install 70,000 streetlights.
     
  • This Street light scheme will start on November 1st. The MLAs will recommend the dark spots in their respective areas.

  • Further to give relief to the people, the Delhi government will sell onions at Rs 24 per kg from mobile vans.
     
  • He said that the government has taken this decision because of the ever-increasing prices of onions.
